He hasn’t forsaken you!

My six month son is beginning to learn how to crawl and as a father, my job is to encourage him and help him progress faster. So I gave him a task. I put an object he loves so much a little far from him, he looked at me with a stern in his face pondering why daddy do this? Why didn’t he just give me this toy and allow me have fun without stress. Must he allow me to stress myself because I love this toy? Why is daddy treating me like he doesn’t love me? In short, I am not sure my daddy truly loves me! Every time he sees that I love a toy so badly, the next thing he does is to take it away from me for reasons I don’t even know. If my dad loves me like he tells me daily, he shouldn’t allow me to stress myself before he gives me my toy.

Several thoughts I guess would be going through the mind of this six month infant. After much attempts by him, he was able to get his most wanted toy. I laughed and was glad that my six month son has passed this hurdle. He forced himself to move even beyond his reach. He was able to move his legs and try to crawl. This was what I the father was aiming at. I never wanted to hurt him, I never wanted to stress him, I only wanted him to see that He could crawl and move like I do.

The love of a true father is unique, it is everlasting, and it is simply indescribable. No true father would ever want to see the child suffer. This was exactly what Jesus was trying to tell him disciples in Matthew 7:9-11. “Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?” God the Father is willing to accept children and make them his sons and daughters through adoption. And the moment we accept Him as our father, he begins to treat us as his sons. Situations may look like he doesn’t care or perhaps he has forgotten that we are his sons. But the prophet Isaiah said in Chapter 41 verse 19, can a mother forget her suckling child? If animals cater for their children, how much more the heavenly father?

Whatever you are passing through, it is not because God doesn’t care, but it is because he wants to see us grow like the way I wanted to see my six month infant try to crawl. God wants to see us move from one level of our Christianity to the next level. God is a business man that loves growth and enlargement. As his true sons we must be spiritually sound to know when God is speaking to our spirits to grow up. When your most treasured things in life seem to delay even after you have fasted days and nights, it isn’t because God has forsaken you, It is because he wants you to see beyond his blessings and move into a growing relationship. However, whatsoever reason God is delaying answers to your prayers, it is because he wants the best for you.

Finally my dear reader, fight the good fight of faith, lay hold of eternal life. Never give up. Look at the final prize, the crown of life. That is the ultimate. God has not forsaken you and He will never. Hebrews 13:5b “for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee”

And if you are still there with the devil as your father, it is never too late to come to God. His hands are wide open ready to adopt you as one of his numerous sons. Surrender totally to Jesus today and become part of his family.

God loves you

God bless you richly for your contribution When Isaac asked Esau his son to go and prepare a delicious meal of venison for him to eat so that he (Isaac) may bless him, Isaac's wife Rebekah heard it and took advantage of the distance between their tents and the field where Esau the hunter would get the bush meat. She also took advantage of the short distanc...
