Look not! Touch not! Eat not!

A once beautiful scenario became awful for man to remember. The story of Adam and Eve in that beautiful garden prepared by God remains the best explanation for the hardship and greed humanity has suffered over the years. It all began here in the Garden of Eden.
Here, two trees were named while one of the trees was commanded by the Almighty God never to be eaten or better still not to be touched! (Gen 2: 8-9)

Man, before the fall, has been given a purpose and a reason for his existence which was being the keeper of the Garden. However, the serpent (the devil) deceived Man into disobeying divine orders (Gen 3:1-11). God was so displeased that his lovely creature would disobey Him after all the love he has shown Man. The consequence of this act was death, hell and total banishment from the presence of the Almighty God.

Man was created and placed in his inheritance to work little and earn large, to be in charge of all God had created and to dominate. All of us humans have been created into similar positions. There is a point and place God has made us for- a purpose he has predestinated us for. But we leave our purpose and get distracted by temporal things. If I may ask, have you discovered your God-given purpose?

The devil capitalized on the idleness and carelessness of Eve, Adam’s wife. If Eve was busy carrying out her purpose, she won’t have noticed the serpent or even listened to it. If I may ask again, who and what are you listening to? Who and what you listen to determines what you become. Idleness and laziness make us loose our purpose in life.
It pains me when I hear youths and teenagers blaming our fore parents- Adam & Eve for their predicament while we are presently being faced with the same scenario Adam & Eve encountered.

In his love and mercy, he has again given us two trees to choose from:  the tree of life and the tree of worldly knowledge. And it’s surprising why some many of us are yet to make a decision, while some are already busy eating from the tree of worldly knowledge with all joy. If I may ask you, my dear reader, which tree are you eating from? If you blamed Eve, then think twice.

If you have eaten the right fruit, you would have been in God’s purpose for your life. You are struggling because you keep eating the wrong fruit from the wrong tree. Or has the devil been enticing you with the wrong fruit?

As a matter of fact, the wrong fruit was not better looking than other fruits of the garden, but the mental picture that the devil painted about it suggested to the woman that the fruit was better than the ones God has generously given them to eat. Today, there are many good things of life that God has provided for humanity and His children in particular, but the enticement of the enemy has robbed many people of the joy and contentment in God's benevolence. For example; if a man goes about chasing a woman who is not his wife, he is deluded and enticed to think that the strange woman possesses something that his wife does not have; the devil tells you that you cannot make riches till you do yahoo yahoo (fraud) or engage in political corruption, or steal. You have been told to flee fornication, what else do you want to see in a young girl’s pants? You have been warned severely of many actions- why do you still repeat them? Yet you blame Adam and Eve.

Have you been eating that fruit? Eating that fruit would bring you curse and regrets, so why eat of it? Gen 3:14-19. Eating that fruit would send you out of God’s purpose for your life, so why eat it? Gen 3: 23-24, the fruit might look so beautiful, so attractive, it might increase your present salary but not your net worth, it might buy you a brand new car but not fulfillment, and it might give you happiness but not joy. It might give you a house but not a home. So I say look not, touch not and eat not!

You must stick to God’s warning. God has given you the privilege to eat from the tree of life. Why not eat from the tree of life and live forever. The same God who gave Adam and Eve two options is giving you the same two options, it is your choice.
Heb 9:27. And it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
The ball is in your court, correct the mistake you have made while you still have the chance.

If you are ready to stop eating the wrong fruit, kindly say this prayer with your mouth:

Father Lord, I come to you wholeheartedly surrendering everything that doesn’t give you glory. I believe that your undying love made your son Jesus to die for my sins so I can be your son. I accept Jesus as my Lord and savior and ask that you make me experience your divine visitation in Jesus name. Amen.

Valentine or Violent-Time (Part 3)

Over the years, some religious folks have defined and classified February 14 as the devil's day. They argue that the Valentine was not a Saint, and even if he was, it was not proper to keep a day to remember him. By God's grace, I have subjected myself to regular study of the scriptures and godly books in several libraries especially the e-libraries. My philosophy has been guided by the knowledge acquired from comparative and HOLYGHOST inspired study. If God is not against Christmas, and Easter, then why should He be against Valentine's Day? Many of us have known so much that we have created our own "Newer Testament" after the new testament of the Holy Bible. Is God against celebrations? Definitely, No! Jesus visited a wedding in Cana, he was at most Jewish feasts, and He organized a feast by feeding, on one occasion, 5,000 men. Our God loves feasting. He loves to see us celebrate. But all feastings must be done in Holiness in order to be approved ...

In today’s message, we have been asked to memorise  Genesis 27:20: "And Isaac said unto his son, How is it that thou hast found it so quickly, my son? Today's reading is from  Mark 16:1-6  and the Bible in one year reading for today has been taken from  Jeremiah 36:1:- Jeremiah 38:6 and Psalm 55:16-23 Quoted below is the message for today. God bless you richly for your contribution When Isaac asked Esau his son to go and prepare a delicious meal of venison for him to eat so that he (Isaac) may bless him, Isaac's wife Rebekah heard it and took advantage of the distance between their tents and the field where Esau the hunter would get the bush meat. She also took advantage of the short distanc...

LOVE & SPIRITUAL GIFTS [Friday May 23, 2014] Memorise: Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.   1 Corinthians 14:1 Bible in a Year: Genesis 48-50; Psalm 108 Read:   1 Corinthians 12:1-2 1  Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. 2  Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led. Message: Our God is the Almighty. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He is also good and His mercy endures forever. One character of God that is transmissible through us is love. The people we are to show love to includes those that are lovable and those that do not deserve our love. Do you love your critics? Do you love your persecutors? Do you love the un...
