THE WORDS THAT BROUGHT CHRISTMAS

THE WORDS THAT BROUGHT CHRISTMAS

John: 1:1-4, 14: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
V14: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

We are celebrating this season as a result of God’s Word being made flesh in the likeness of men.
The word is Jesus. As seen in the verses above, all things were made from this spoken Word. Oh how powerful the Word must be.
What can you learn from this?
We are made in the likeness of God himself. We have the same genes and traits from God our Father. Whatever God words can become our words will also become. But we do not know how powerful our words have been created to be.

I sat down one day and realized that everything in this word is made from words. Even in the office, all the documents contain words, the signatures are words telling another person that the document has been approved by an authority. Marriage is made of words. The vow you take on the wedding day are Words. Think about Words in your life and the word. Have you really been using this Words to your benefits? Or you use the Words to your own destruction. The scriptures said the power of Life and death is in the TONGUE( words).

In the law court what do they use as weapon to exonerate a guilty man? It is words! You see, it is words! You see, you can be set free by your words. But do you know the words that are powerful? Let me tell you.
IT IS GOD’S WORDS. These words created the universe. You need to speak God’s words daily in all your situations. God’s words are powerful. Do God’s words are powerful. Do you know where you can get God’s words? It is from the Holy Bible. Study it, meditate on it day and night. Get acquainted to God’s words and use it to fight your daily battles and you will be amazed at its wonders.

I WISH YOU A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS as we celebrate God’s words in existence. Have a blissful season of peace.

Compliments,
Matthews,

Valentine or Violent-Time (Part 3)

Over the years, some religious folks have defined and classified February 14 as the devil's day. They argue that the Valentine was not a Saint, and even if he was, it was not proper to keep a day to remember him. By God's grace, I have subjected myself to regular study of the scriptures and godly books in several libraries especially the e-libraries. My philosophy has been guided by the knowledge acquired from comparative and HOLYGHOST inspired study. If God is not against Christmas, and Easter, then why should He be against Valentine's Day? Many of us have known so much that we have created our own "Newer Testament" after the new testament of the Holy Bible. Is God against celebrations? Definitely, No! Jesus visited a wedding in Cana, he was at most Jewish feasts, and He organized a feast by feeding, on one occasion, 5,000 men. Our God loves feasting. He loves to see us celebrate. But all feastings must be done in Holiness in order to be approved ...

OPEN HEAVENS DEVOTIONAL-BELATED OFFERING - 08/03/2013

Yesterday’s message was titled “ ARE YOU A FALSE WITNESS  ”. Today’s message is titled  “BELATED OFFERING?”  as provided by Pastor E. A. Adeboye in Open Heavens Devotional (Adeboye, 2014). In today’s message, we have been asked to memorise  Genesis 27:20: "And Isaac said unto his son, How is it that thou hast found it so quickly, my son? And he said, Because the LORD thy God brought it to me. " . Today's reading is from  Mark 16:1-6  and the Bible in one year reading for today has been taken from  Jeremiah 36:1:- Jeremiah 38:6 and Psalm 55:16-23 Quoted below is the message for today. God bless you richly for your contribution When Isaac asked Esau his son to go and prepare a delicious meal of venison for him to eat so that he (Isaac) may bless him, Isaac's wife Rebekah heard it and took advantage of the distance between their tents and the field where Esau the hunter would get the bush meat. She also took advantage of the short distanc...

OPEN HEAVENS DEVOTIONAL - CARE FOR THE BRETHREN-30/04/2014

" CARE FOR THE BRETHREN " In today’s message, we have been asked to memorise   Philippians 4:19 : " But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus ” Today's reading was taken from  Romans 15:25-27  and the Bible reading in one year is   Revelation 8 to Revelation 11 and Psalm 93 (Adeboye, 2014). Quoted below is today's message for your input "Apostle Paul in the Bible reading for today, teaches us one missing ingredient of true discipleship in today’s contemporary Church; which is the ministry of care. Despite the great anointing with which Apostle Paul was ministering to both Jews and Gentiles, it is amazing to read that the ministry of care was not absent from his vocation as a preacher of the gospel. It is also interesting to note that the lives of the early apostles of Jesus Christ were not only in alignment with the teachings of Jesus Christ but were also in alignment with their own teachi...
