YOU HAVE AN INHERITANCE

Inheritance from the dictionary means something from the past that is still valuable and is passed from someone (ancestors) when that person dies to his offspring. For example, a first son inherits his dead father’s lands and properties.

The Almighty God himself takes inheritance so seriously that He decided to take Israel as his portion and His inheritance (Deut. 32:9). If I may ask, what is your inheritance? Some of us inherited several things from our fathers: lands, cars, houses, estates etc. while others inherited nothing from their parents. This is your physical inheritance but do you know that the most important things in this life are unseen. My friend, even if you inherit lands, houses, estates etc from your family, there are some sicknesses and troubles that can take your whole wealth away. This means those inheritances are temporal. Some inheritance can be disastrous like ancestral curses, yokes, family sicknesses etc. The inheritance you got from your family has to be passed down immediately you leave this earth. Your will will show how you want your inheritance to be distributed amongst your loved ones. But what of that inheritance which follows you to the grave and remains after your spirit leaves your body? This is the inheritance which I’m writing about. What is your inheritance? I am talking of an overpowering inheritance that overshadows other inheritances.

Some of us get so occupied struggling for inheritance that doesn’t last. We wake up early and sleep very late yet we are still insatiable with our present status. What is your inheritance? There is an inheritance which is passed on immediately you give your life to Christ Jesus. This inheritance is not optional. It doesn’t look for the best, it doesn’t select family backgrounds. In short this inheritance is unmerited. See Col: 1:12: Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light (KJV)

The moment you accept Jesus into your life, you are automatically being transformed from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of God’s son-Jesus. And you become a partaker of this divine inheritance. This is a promise not of righteousness or works (Gal 3:18). This divine inheritance gives you the right to eternal life, prosperity, excellence, holiness, perfection etc. you cannot be a member of a family if you do not possess similar traits or characters of that family. Once you become a member of God’s family, this divine inheritance is your right. I wonder sometimes when I see Christians complain of sickness, pains, poverty etc. this is because they do not know what they actually inherited. A child that does not know his rights will be maltreated and beaten by the servant but a son that knows his rights controls the servant. 

In Jer:12:14: Thus saith the LORD against all mine evil neighbours, that touch the inheritance which I have caused my people Israel to inherit; Behold, I will pluck them out of their land, and pluck out the house of Judah from among them. Some of our inheritance has been touched and stolen by the evil one. But I prophesy that from this day every power that has snatched your inheritance be plucked out according to God’s word in Jesus name.

In our world if you do not know your rights, you will be overshadowed by even weaker forces. Today, we have childish Christians everywhere who are yet to know their rights. See Lamentation 5:2: Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens. I ask you today, where is your inheritance?

I pray as you read this tract the Lord God will begin to open your eyes of understanding to take your inheritance. In your inheritance, sickness, pains, delayed marriage, childlessness, joblessness, disappointments etc. are not included. So wake up from your slumber and take your inheritance. The devil has been so trying to deceive children of God into believing that not all the blessings are meant for them. Some Christians even criticized other rich brethren as if their God cannot bless them as well. The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. (Psalms 24:1). Look at what God promised in Psalms: 2:8: Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

Though trials may arise but God has always provided a way of escape for us all. So therefore brethren, change your thinking and take your inheritance. The best thing is that this divine inheritance unlike the worldly inheritance will remain after your death. It gives you an everlasting life. Oh what a divine plan God had ordained for you and I even before the foundation of the world. Stand up now, claim your inheritance and fulfil God’s divine purpose for your life.

Your authority over Satan is your inheritance.  As God’s child you have the right over everything God created including the devil and the angels. So why do you suffer and smile in your problems. Claim your inheritance by force by knowing what God has promised you.

This is what God transferred to you from the beginning see Gen 1:28: And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Have you really subdued the earth? Have you been fruitful? Is your life showing dominion over principalities and spiritual wickedness? Or you are under demonic oppressions?

You need to go and reclaim your inheritance! Kindly say this prayer with all seriousness.

Prayer of Faith. Lord Jesus, as much as I believe that you forgave and washed my sins away, I also believe that you have better inheritance for your children here on earth and eternal life to come. Father I cause my inheritance to manifest now in Jesus name. Every power holding my breakthrough be destroyed in Jesus name. Thank you Lord.
