This
year, I have been opportune to see fake people and real people. Copy cats and
original humans. People with guts and those who lack guts. People with balls
and those whose balls have been used to play tennis.
One
thing that baffles me most has to deal with our current youth. I mean those who
think that they have so much time to play around with. The way they dress with
no sense of dignity. When you confront them, they say it's the reigning stuff
and 'stars' are doing it.
Should
something become a standard because the so-called 'stars' are doing it? Where
is the Originality? Where is the value? Most of them or better still most of us
have stopped thinking and started copying.
You
see a girl wearing sleeveless during a raining season with short skirts, yet
she is catching cold. But because she wants to feel among, she ignores her
health and dress half naked. Some even go to the extent of being so
uncomfortable with their outfits that sitting down becomes a hard work. All
because Tiwa Savage dressed like that! No Originality. No value.
John
Mason says, "You were born an original. Don't die a copy."
Once
upon a time, there were no light bulbs. But someone thought outside the norms
and customs of his present world and invented it.
The
Wright Brothers first made an airplane even when it was just a myth.
It's
high time we begin to think outside the box and be creative. God made us to be
Original, creative and unique. He wanted us to discover the world by ourselves.
That was why He did not build skyscrapers for Adam or gave Eve a Ferrari.
God
wants you to create something from your world, for the world, in the world.
In
Heaven, He does not need you to help him build anything; He is already building
for us. But He wants us to build here. Discover ourselves and create value.
Julius
Charles said, "Be what you are. This is the first step toward becoming
better than you are."
I
second to this. If you do not know who you are, how can you make yourself
better? If you are not real with yourself, how can you better yourself for the
benefit of others?
Grooming
Empowered Youth is a vision to help youth fulfill destinies and become kings.
How can you fulfill destiny if you are still copying one star and other? When
would you be real? I used to have a friend back then. This guy would refuse to
check his results because he thinks he failed. He was trying to ignore his
failures but his failures finally sent him out of school. I wished he had faced
them. He would have overcome them.
That's
what most of us do. We run from ourselves. We run from our flaws. We don't want
to fail. We prefer to pretend to be the best. We pretend we have the best of
life. Thus we even make our helpers think we are highly comfortable. Because we
lived fake lives. Originality is what truly gives value.
Let
me clarify that copying and imitating is not bad. First, you need to know
yourself then look at for someone who's successful and fulfilled in your
destiny path before you copy and imitate. Even in your imitation, you should
strive to outshine and be unique and be original. But I'm against youth copying
blindly when they are yet to know who they are.
Finally,
as I round up, I like this quote by someone
"It
is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for something you are
not. Check within yourself, are there pretense, blind copying, fake lifestyle,
plagiarism etc. Or are you yet to discover yourself? Email us:
