MY LOVE FOR YOU

MY LOVE FOR YOU

Very long time ago, there lived a father and his only lovely son. He loved his son so much that he gave all his belongings and put all things in his son’s reach to control and direct though he was still alive. His son has everything his father had; he had the same power as his father.

His father has two set of servants, higher servants and the lower servants. But he loved the lower servants so much like the way he loved his son but these servants were very ungrateful and disobedient to the father. The father rules a very mighty empire yet he always wants to explain to the lower servants why they should forsake their evil ways and neglect their bad attitudes so they could make him happy.

The father and his son are perfect and just, in short they were exact epitomes of perfection themselves. They never broke their standards or words, they were impartial and never changed but there was a tormentor. Every evil the lower servants did made them a captive to the tormentor. The tormentor was wicked, he accused the servants, punished them whenever they disobey the father (Gal 4:3). Although the father does not wish that the servants be punished but he could not save them because for every evil, there is a price to pay (Romans 6:23).

The father wanted the lower servants to be totally free from the tormentor by ending their disobedience. The only way this could be done was for a perfect one to take all the punishments and the death the lower servants deserved and give them a new life so that they would no longer be under the law of sin & death and not under the whims and caprices of the tormentor.

Coincidentally, the only perfect one that could undergo this task was the only begotten son of the father whom the father loved so much. This also means that the son must be a slave to the tormentor, the son must be punished, tortured, humiliated and die just to make the lower servants have a new life.

Oh what a sacrifice the father had to perform! The father would have to miss his son’s presence for over 30years, the father would also for the very first time curse his son, forsake his son, and watch the tormentor make a total mockery of his only lovely son. The father would sit and watch his divine royalty being blasphemed and humiliated by the tormentor. The father would allow his son to be chained in hell and watch the tormentor and the servants who he wanted to save, crucify and kill his son, oh! what a shameful death for a royalty!

Oh how heartbroken the father felt when he realized that this was what he had to face in order to redeem his lower servants. What love is this that a man lay his life for his friends (John 15:13). Although the father had an option not to sacrifice his son, but thank God He did. He did it because he loves you, he loved his lower servants so much (John 3:16)

The Father here is God, his son Jesus, the lower servants are mankind, the higher servants are the angels, and the tormentor is Satan the devil.
Dear reader,
How would you feel if you were asked to dance naked at the market in your bus stop just to free your house help from the prison?
What would you do if the only option you had to save your only child is to sacrifice your own life?
Would you be ready to lose your life to save another?
Would you give your only kidney to save your dying mother or friend?
Would you sacrifice your royalty for a servant?

But God did these. Jesus left his throne and gave his divine health, his happiness and eternal life just to make you a king, free from sicknesses, happy and have everlasting life. John 3:16. God loves you so much. He is ready to even do more for you.
Eph: 3:20: Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

Jer 31: 3b; Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving-kindness’ have I drawn thee.

Why delay in responding to God’s call and live for God. Jesus is calling you today, He is saying “come unto me, I want to give you rest, I love you with tears in His eyes. I didn’t die for you in vain, I died so that you will never die again, I died so that you will never fail, I died so that you will never be poor again. I died so that you will never have to go to hell. I died to give you an everlasting life.

Why not let God’s kind of love to flow in your heart today and always to everyone around you even your enemies. Love without reward, Love without discrimination, Love equally. The ones close to you that lack clothes, food, and money, kindly share yours with them. Make your light shine for men to glorify God (Matt 5:16)

My dear friends, if you have been touched by the Holy Spirit, kindly say this prayer with your mouth;

Almighty God in Heaven, Today I come to appreciate your everlasting love towards me. I thank you for sending your son Jesus to die for my sins. I believe you raised him up after 3days. Lord Jesus, come into my life and be my saviour and personal Lord. Let your love grow in me and I promise to live for you from hence forth in Jesus name. Amen

OPEN HEAVENS DEVOTIONAL-BELATED OFFERING - 08/03/2013

Yesterday’s message was titled “ ARE YOU A FALSE WITNESS  ”. Today’s message is titled  “BELATED OFFERING?”  as provided by Pastor E. A. Adeboye in Open Heavens Devotional (Adeboye, 2014). In today’s message, we have been asked to memorise  Genesis 27:20: "And Isaac said unto his son, How is it that thou hast found it so quickly, my son? And he said, Because the LORD thy God brought it to me. " . Today's reading is from  Mark 16:1-6  and the Bible in one year reading for today has been taken from  Jeremiah 36:1:- Jeremiah 38:6 and Psalm 55:16-23 Quoted below is the message for today. God bless you richly for your contribution When Isaac asked Esau his son to go and prepare a delicious meal of venison for him to eat so that he (Isaac) may bless him, Isaac's wife Rebekah heard it and took advantage of the distance between their tents and the field where Esau the hunter would get the bush meat. She also took advantage of the short distanc...
