INSPIRATIONAL STORY ---> ARE YOU A CARROT, EGG OR COFFEE BEAN?

A young woman told her mother
how hard her life was. She didn't
know how she was going to
make it and wanted to give
up.
She was tired of fighting and
struggling. It seemed that as she
solved a problem, another one
arose.
Her mother took her to the
kitchen.She filled three pots with
water. In the first pot, she placed
carrots.In the second pot, she
placed eggs.In the last pot, she
put coffee beans.
She let them sit and boil without
saying a
word.
After about 20 minutes, she
turned off the burners.She fished
the carrots out, and placed them
in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out,
and placed them in a bowl. Then
she laddled the coffee out and
place it in a bowl.
Turning to her daughter she
asked '' What do you see? ''.''
Carrots, eggs and coffee '' the
daughter replied.
The mother brought her closer
and asked her to feel the
carrots.She did, noticing that they
had become soft.The mother
again asked her to take one egg
and break it, pulling off the shell,
she discovered the hard-boiled
egg.Finally, the mother asked her
to sip the coffee.The daughter
smiled as she tasted it's richness.
'' But what's the point mother ''
the daughter asked.
The mother explained that each of
this 3
things had faced the same
adversity --BOILING WATER-- but
each reacted differently.
The carrot went in strong, hard
and unrelenting.However,
subjected to the boiling water, it
softened and became weak.
The fragile egg had an outer shell
to protect it's liquid interior.But
after going through the boiling
water, it became hard & stronger
inside.
But the coffee beans were
different.When they were in the
boiling water, they TRANSFORM
the water into something sweet.
'' When adversity comes knocking
'' the mother asked '' How do you
react? Are you a carrot, egg or
coffee bean? ''.
Which are u? Are u like the carrot
that seems strong, but with pain
and adversity, do u wilt, become
soft and lose your strength?
Are u like the egg that started
with a flexible heart but changes
with the heat.Do u start out with a
fluid spirit, but after a loss, a
break up, a financial loss, or some
other trial have u become
hardened and stiff? Does your
shell look the same, but is your
inside bitter and tough with a
hardened heart?
Or are u like the coffee bean?
When the water gets hot, the
coffee bean releases it's fragrance
and flavour for everyone's
benefit.The coffee bean uses the
hot water, the very circumstance
that brought pain, to transform
itself and the water.
'' If you are like the coffee bean,
when things are at their WORST,
improve yourself and TRANSFORM
the situation arround you ''.

Valentine or Violent-Time (Part 3)

Over the years, some religious folks have defined and classified February 14 as the devil's day. They argue that the Valentine was not a Saint, and even if he was, it was not proper to keep a day to remember him. By God's grace, I have subjected myself to regular study of the scriptures and godly books in several libraries especially the e-libraries. My philosophy has been guided by the knowledge acquired from comparative and HOLYGHOST inspired study. If God is not against Christmas, and Easter, then why should He be against Valentine's Day? Many of us have known so much that we have created our own "Newer Testament" after the new testament of the Holy Bible. Is God against celebrations? Definitely, No! Jesus visited a wedding in Cana, he was at most Jewish feasts, and He organized a feast by feeding, on one occasion, 5,000 men. Our God loves feasting. He loves to see us celebrate. But all feastings must be done in Holiness in order to be approved ...

In today’s message, we have been asked to memorise  Genesis 27:20: "And Isaac said unto his son, How is it that thou hast found it so quickly, my son? Today's reading is from  Mark 16:1-6  and the Bible in one year reading for today has been taken from  Jeremiah 36:1:- Jeremiah 38:6 and Psalm 55:16-23 Quoted below is the message for today. God bless you richly for your contribution When Isaac asked Esau his son to go and prepare a delicious meal of venison for him to eat so that he (Isaac) may bless him, Isaac's wife Rebekah heard it and took advantage of the distance between their tents and the field where Esau the hunter would get the bush meat. She also took advantage of the short distanc...
